My journey began in 2007. I had just graduated from Nordic Design school and acquired an internship at fashion House Ida Sjöstedt and House of Dagmar.
During my internship I also started working part time as a visual merchandiser for MEXX. In addition to this I also took extra courses in sewing and pattern design at Tillskärarakademin in Stockholm to add to my education. I also did some flat sketches design work for Acne Studios and Baby Jamas. I was living and breathing fashion during this period of my life.
After this I moved on to working for The Casbah, a multi-brand store with hot Scandinavian brands. Here I started up a personal shopper service, and I was also the company´s personal shopper until I was offered the manager role.
Later on I continued in sales, personal shopping and made to measure at Ströms suit department for men. I met and dressed up some really interesting people. Anything from CEOs, to wedding grooms, and TV-hosts. Along the way my creative hunger to design started to call and I decided to study at fashion college Beckmans.
Today I work as a fashion designer at Wänerstedts. I design for several of our own brands within active wear, outdoor and contemporary fashion covering all ages and genders.
In every professional working step I’ve taken, I have always aimed to work with fashion in some way. I love to design and find my self being interested in many different projects. What impresses me is when a brand has a strong identity. When years can pass and it will still always be remembered for the qualities that made them unique in the first place. When you become a style rather than a brand and sometimes even transform to being a part of history and future.
